RESTAURANT NIGHTS

IPPC COAT DRIVE
Indian Prairie Parents’ Council has kicked off their annual winter coat and boot drive. From September 14-25th, families are asked to donate winter coats and gear (boots, gloves, hats, etc.), which will be distributed to families within our district. All donations can be brought to the large collection box near the front office.  Distribution to Families: September 30, 9AM-3PM & October 1, 4PM-7PM

OUTDOOR MOVIE NIGHT
Come out September 18th! Bring chairs and blankets and come watch a movie under the stars! Concessions will open at 7pm and the movie will start at 7:30!

 

KINDERGARTEN & 5th GRADE PICTURES WITH CLANCY
Preserve your child’s first or last year at Clow with a commemorative picture with our lovable mascot, Clancy the Cougar! Photos will be taken during school on school picture day on September 14th. Individual photos will be taken of those students who have ordered and pre-paid. Students will receive a 4x6 individual photo in a photo sleeve and a digital file will be emailed to you at the email address provided. Click the link here to purchase: Clancy Pictures

ROOM PARENTS
We are looking for Room Parents for all grades! Each year, one parent from each classroom serves as their classroom’s Room Parent for the school year. The primary responsibility of a Room Parent is to plan and lead the Fall Classroom Party (Oct 30th, 2-3:15 pm) and Winter Classroom Party (Dec 18th, 2-3:15 pm). If you would like to be considered for the Room Parent role, please complete the following online form by Thurs 9/10: Room Parent Interest Form. Room Parents will be selected on the 11th.

FALL AND WINTER CLASSROOM PARTY VOLUNTEER SIGN-UPS
We’re looking forward to our classroom parties on Friday, 10/30 and Friday, 12/18 from 2:00-3:15 pm. In the interest of giving as many students as possible an opportunity to have a family member volunteer, we are changing up the volunteer sign-up process for this year. Sign-ups to volunteer for both FALL & WINTER PARTIES will happen on the same day: Tues, Sept. 15^th @ 7 pm. There will be 3 spots available per class (the 4th spot is reserved for the classroom’s Room Parent). Three SUPER important details below:

• On Sept 15th, you can sign up for one volunteer spot per classroom.
  • (Example: If your son Billy is in 2S and your daughter Jenny is in 4A, on Sept. 15th you can sign up to volunteer in Billy’s class for the fall party and Jenny’s class for the winter party. If you have only one child at Clow, please sign up for either the fall or winter party, not both.)
• We ask that only one family member volunteer per family per class per party. 
  • (Example: If Billy’s Mom wants to volunteer in his class for the fall party, Billy’s Dad would need to volunteer for the winter party.)
• After 24 hours (Wed, Sept 16^th @ 7 pm), once everyone has had an opportunity to sign up, any parent can sign up for any party. 
  • (Example: Billy’s Dad and Billy’s Mom can volunteer at the fall party together if there is still space available. If you have only one child at Clow, you can sign up for both the fall and winter parties if there is space available.)

The link to sign up will be shared in the 9/15 PTA Update (sent by Mrs. Bruebach) and on the Clow PTA Facebook page. The link will go live at 7:00 pm. Spots will go fast - mark your calendars! We know change is hard. Please reach out to Gina Talarico with any questions.

 

MULTICULTURAL NIGHT
Join us Thursday, October 1st from 6:30-7:30pm for our second annual Multicultural Night! We are starting to look for families that would like to showcase something from their culture! Families can be as creative as you want! Whether it’s cooking a favorite dish, performing a dance, or setting up a cultural booth, your participation will help make this night unforgettable! DO-RITE DONUTS FUNDRAISER
We have partnered with Do-Rite Donuts to bring you some of the best donuts in downtown Chicago! Order by 9/30, and on Friday, 10/2 pick up your donuts just a couple blocks from school at 2621 Gateshead Drive from 3:45 - 4:45pm. Enjoy them as an end of the week treat or save them for Saturday morning breakfast! PRE-ORDERS ONLY!! 20% of sales donated to the Clow PTA! CLICK HERE TO ORDER 

 

REFLECTIONS
We invite students of all grades to explore the arts and express the theme “What My Culture Means to Me"  Illinois PTA proudly offers this National program to our district 204 students. Founded in 1969, PTA Reflections is known as the oldest and largest national student recognition program in the arts.  Students are welcome to create and submit original works of art in the categories of: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, or Visual Arts. All submissions must be turned in to school by October 9th. Click the link here for more detailed information.

 

MYSTERY READER
Twice a quarter, each classroom hosts a parent volunteer to read a children’s book. This is a great opportunity to spend time with your child’s class and share a new or old favorite story. PTA MEMBERSHIP 2026-2027
PTA membership is open for the new school year! You may notice some new options while checking out, there are now options to add a monetary donation while paying for your yearly membership. Our PTA is proud to support FREE school events for all students and families! Thanks to generous donations and fundraising efforts, we never charge admission for PTA-sponsored activities. We believe every student should have the chance to join in the fun, no matter what.
