Literature selections provide an opportunity for students to explore and gain insight into the concept of change in particular as change affects people in various circumstances, cultures, and various times.
PROJECT: Students read the novel, The Secret Garden, by Frances H. Burnett and create their own special garden to share with the class.
PROJECT: Novel Assignment
Students select a novel of their choice from a teacher
list and complete several activities for this novel. This project
includes analysis, reflected journal entries, vocabulary webs, and an
original BOOK JACKET. Students present a "book talk" to the
class.
