Clow kindergarten
students do an animal research project in May. Below are examples
of quality student work. This project requires our children to
learn how to use resources for research purposes. Students
research their selected animal's habitat, food, and what their babies
look like and are called. Additionally, students create neat,
quality products that are "good enough to put their names on them."
Clow kindergarten children recently completed their first research papers!
Students first chose an animal or mammal for study. Next they went to the
school LMC to obtain non-fiction books to learn the following about their
selection:
 | | Habitat |
 | | Food the animal/mammal eats |
 | | What the adult looks like |
 | | What the baby look like and the baby's name |
Finally, they illustrated their products (learned what
"illustration" means); they also learned about background and filling a whole
space.
