Fifth Grade

Small Life

Microscopes and small life go together. 5th graders learn how to use microscopes as they examine and compare plant and animal cells.

Brine shrimp are fun to observe under a microscope. Using a projection microscope helps students to learn what they are supposed to see. Microscope used by fifth graders.

Sharing a microscope can be a challenge but it is still fun.

Accurate notes are important for good scientific observation.

Setting up properly is important.

Recording results and observations is as important as recognizing cells.
