A Cell Is A DragonA cell and a dragon are very similar. The cell membrane is the mouth because it lets food in and out and lets the dragon grow. The cell wall is the skin because it gives it shaped supports it. Without skin the dragon would be a flat blob because there would be nothing to give it shape. The cholorplasts are like food because they create energy. When the dragon eats its food, it gets carbohydrates that provide it energy. The vacuoles are like the stomach because it holds and stores things. After the dragon eats, the food is stored in the stomach. The mitochondria are like the dragon's fire because it releases energy this way. When the dragon breaths fire, all the energy that is stored inside comes out the mouth. The nucleus is like the dragon's brain because the brain controls everything. The brain of the dragon controls how it moves and think. The cytoplasm is like the guts because they hold everything in place. Guts help keep all the dragon's organs in place. That is all how a dragon can be like a cell.

A Cell as an AlienA cell and an alien have much in common. The cell membrane is the huge mouth because it lets things in and out. For instance, if he were eating he would be letting things in. The cell wall is the rough bumpy skin because thats what holds his body together. For example, if he didnt have the skin he wouldnt be here. The chloroplasts are like freezing places because it gives him energy. He needs to be in cold places to get energy. The vacuoles are a lot like his stomach because they both store items. For instance, his food goes into his stomach. The mitochondria are like the heart because it releases energy. For example, the heart releases blood to the body. The nucleus is like the brain because it controls everything. His brain controls his body. Lastly, the cytoplasm is like gravity and air because thats what holds him on the ground. In conclusion, a cell is a lot like an alien.

A Dragon and a CellA cell and a dragon are very similar. The cell membrane is the mouth and nose because they let things in and out. The mouth and nose let smoke out and food in. The cell wall is the skin because it gives shape and support to the dragon. The skin is hard, and that is what gives the dragon its wormy shape The chloroplasts are like food because they create energy. The food makes him strong to whip his tail. The vacuoles are like the stomach because they store things. The stomach stores food to make the dragon big and strong. The mitochondria are like fire because they release energy. It releases fire energy to kill its enemies. The nucleus is like the brain because it controls everything. He doesn't go out of control because his brain tells him what to do. The cytoplasm is like the guts because they hold everything in. the guts wrap around everything so they don't fall out. All in all, the dragon and cell are like each other.

A Cell as a LimoDid you know a limo is just like a cell? The cell membrane is the doors and windows because they let things in and out. The doors let people in and out of the car. The windows can also let air in and out of the car. The cell wall is like the frame because it gives it shape and supports it. For example, if there was no frame, the car would collapse. The chloroplasts are like the engine because they create energy. If there was no engine, the car would not be able to move. The vacuoles are like the trunk because it stores items. The trunk is very important because when you buy something, you can hold all of your stuff or when you go on a vacation, you can put all of your suitcases in it. The mitochondria are like the tail pipe because it releases energy. For example, if there was no tail pipe, the car might blow up. The nucleus is like the driver because it controls everything. If the limo had no driver, the car would never move. The cytoplasm is like the frame because it holds everything together. The frame is an important piece because if there was no such thing as a frame, there would probably be no such thing as a car. A limo is just like a cell.

A Cell as a SantaSanta, his sleigh, and his 9 reindeer are very much like small, microscopic cells. The cell membrane is like the big present bag or the sleigh doors because they let things in and out. For instance, the sleigh doors let Santa in and out, and the present bag lets presents in and out. The cell wall is the sleigh because it shapes and supports the seat inside. For example, without the sleigh wall, Santa would fall out of the sleigh. The chloroplasts are like the magic because it creates the energy. Furthermore, if there wasn't any magic then the reindeer would have to do all of the work, and they would get tired right away. The vacuoles are like the radical Christmas presents because they store items like toys and clothes. Without present boxes we couldn't hide the gifts we bought for family and friends. The mitochondria are like the brown (and light brown) reindeer because they release energy. To clarify, the reindeer use their legs to guide the sleigh on its "mission". The nucleus is like Santa because he controls everything. If it weren't for Santa, the reindeer wouldn't know were to go, or what houses to go to. The cytoplasm is like the invisible air because it holds everything up. If the air wasn't there then Santa, his sleigh, and the reindeer would fall out of the sky instantly. As a result, Santa, his sleigh, and his 9 reindeer are very much like tiny, living cells.

The Cell as the EarthDid you know that a cell could represent the Earth? It's true. The cell membrane lets things in and out of a cell. The Earth's atmosphere has the same job. It acts as a doorway to Earth. The cell wall gives a cell its shape and support. The thing on Earth that holds the same position is the crust. It shapes the mountains and valleys, but it also keeps the Earth together. Chloroplasts create energy just like the sun. The sun gives off heat, which becomes energy for the Earth. Vacuoles store items just like our oceans do. Oceans hold fish, plants, dropped items and things that are unknown. Volcanoes on Earth are similar to the mitochondria in a cell because they release energy. When a volcano erupts, it sends out a ton of energy. The nucleus in a cell controls everything a cell does, just like God does to the Earth. He knows exactly what's going on because he created the Earth. Last but not least, gravity on Earth plays the same part as cytoplasm does in a cell. There has to be something to fill in all that extra space. So, as you can see, our Earth has a very strong resemblance to a cell.

The StereoI think a stereo is like a cell in many different ways. The cell membrane is like the drive because it lets things in and out. For example a CD goes into the drive. The cell wall would be the metal of the speaker's because they give it shape and support it. If the stereo did not have metal then it would fall apart. The chloroplasts would be the outlet because it generates energy. The outlets let off energy to power up the machine. The vacuoles would be the holder because it stores items. For instance, the holder would hold disks and tapes. The mitochondria are the speakers because they release energy. They give out sound energy. The nucleus is the remote because it controls everything. The remote tells what CD to play and how high the volume should be. The cytoplasm would be the plastic because it holds and surrounds everything. The plastic helps make sure water wouldn't fall into it. I think a stereo is like a cell.

Cruise Ships and CellsCruise ships are so like cells! The cell membrane is the doors and windows because they let thing in and out. For example, you can walk through a door. The cell wall is the metal wall because it gives its shape and supports it. If the ship didn't have metal walls people would drown. The chloroplasts are like the engine because they create energy. For instance, if you turn a key of a boat you can hear the engine running. The vacuoles are like refrigerators because they hold and store things. It could store delicious food like cake. The mitochondria are like the motor because they release energy. If the cruise ship did not have a motor the boat wouldn't move. The nucleus is like the captain because it controls everything. The captain gives the crew commands. Also, the cytoplasm is like water and air because it holds and surrounds everything. For instance if there were no water the ship would be stuck on the ocean's floor. WOW! In some ways cruise ships and cells can be alike.

Tree Cells and a Soccer FieldA soccer field is very similar to a cell. The cell membrane is the goalie because he lets things in and out. For example, when the soccer gall comes in the goalie grabs it and kciks it out. The cell wall is the field paint because it gives the field its shape. If there was not paint to mark the field, the soccer field wouldn't be there. It would just be a big patch of grass. The chloroplasts are like the water bottles and snacks because they create energy. If the soccer players didn't have water or snacks, they wouldn't have energy to play the game. The vacuoles are like the the soccer ball bag because they hold and store things. For instance, if everyone brought a soccer ball for they game, they would need to store them somewhere once the game started. The mitochondria are like the players because they release energy. If you're a soccer player aren't you going to release energy after playing for an hour? The nucleus is the coach because he controls everything. For example, the coach calls the plays and the starting lineup. Finally, the cytoplasm is the air and gravity because it holds and surrounds everything. If we didn't have air, we wouldn't be here right now. If we didn't have gravity nothing would hold us down and we would be floating. In conclusion, a soccer field is just like a cell.

A Taco Bell CellA cell is almost like the restaurant Taco Bell. The cell membrane is the doors because they let things in and out. For instance, when you open a door, it lets you in and out of the Taco Bell. The cell wall is the bricks because it gives it shape and supports it. In short, if you take away the bricks, there would not be a Taco Bell. The chloroplasts are like the power outlets because they create energy. Without the power outlets the lights and stove would not work. The vacuoles are like freezers because they hold and store things. In other words, freezers hold and store frozen tacos or vegetables for later use. The mitochondria are like the lights because they release energy. For instance, if you turn off the lights then energy is no longer being released. The nucleus is like the boss because it controls everything. In short, the boss runs everything in the Taco Bell like the employees and the money. Finally, the cytoplasm is like air and gravity because they hold everything together. To clarify, gravity holds things down. In conclusion, Taco Bell is like a cell.

A Cell is a lot Like Mr. MouseDid you know that Mr. Mouse is like a cell? The cell membrane is like the mouth because it lets things in and out. For example, the mouth opens and closes to let food and air in. The cell wall is like a skeleton because it gives it shape and supports it. For instance, if we didn't have bones we would be like big blobs. The chloroplasts are like cheese because it creates energy. When the mouse eats food, say cheese, it gives the mouse energy. The vacuoles are like the stomach because they both hold and store things. A toy box is the same way. The toy box holds toys, while the stomach holds food. The mitochondria are like the heart because it releases energy. Although a mouse can't let out as much energy as a human, when it runs or does something the heart keeps it going. The nucleus is like the brain because it controls everything. Without a brain, the mouse wouldn't be able to live! The brain tells every part of its body what to do. So, it acts like the boss. The cytoplasm is like skin or fur because it holds and surrounds everything. For instance, if he didn't have skin and fur it would not be a pretty sight. He would be all organs, muscles, and veins. As I said, Mr. Mouse is like a cell. Go out and try to find what else is like a cell!!

A Raptor CellDid you know a raptor is like a cell in many ways? The cell membrane is the lungs because they let things in and out. While the raptor is breathing air goes in and out of the lungs. The cell wall is the skeleton because it gives it shape and support. Without the skeleton a raptor would just be a blob of skin, guts, and organs. The chloroplasts are like meat because meat creates energy. The energy is in the other dinosaur's meat so when the raptor takes it in it takes in energy. The vacuoles are like the stomach because it holds and stores things. When juicy meat shoots down the esophagus, the stomach stores it. The mitochondria are like the heart because they release energy. As blood is swiftly pumped through the heart, energy is being released. The nucleus is like the brain because it controls every thing. When tt sniffs prey, the brain tells the legs to chase the prey. The cytoplasm is like the guts because it holds and surrounds. Without guts nutrients wouldn't be able to go through the body. All in all a raptor and a cell are the same in many ways.

A Computer as a CellA computer is very much like a cell. The cell membrane is like the computer monitor because it lets the whole thing work. The monitor lets information in and out. The cell wall is like the sides of the computer because it holds the whole thing together. The sides of the computer are sturdy and strong. Chloroplasts are like the electric cord that creates energy. The cord brings energy from the out let to the computer. This is what makes the computer run. The vacuoles are like CD holders because they store the CD there is much information stored in a CD. The mitochondria are like the electricity from the wall out let because it gives the computer power. The electric cord holds the electricity which turns the computer on. The nucleus is like the power button because it turns the computer on and off. You need a power button to start your computer. The cytoplasm is the air around the computer and it lets the person that is using the computer survive. As I have listed this is why the computer is similar to a cell.

A Cell as a HouseA cell is very similar to a house. The cell wall is the outer wall because it holds and supports it. I think this because without the outer wall, the house would collapse. The chloroplasts are like furnaces because they create energy. I think this because furnaces power almost everything in a house. The vacuoles are like the attic and closets because they hold and store things. I think this because attics and closets hold a lot of important things. The mitochondria are like lights because they release energy. I think this because they fill the house with light. The nucleus is like the resident because he/she controls everything. I think this because he/she turns everything in the house on. The cytoplasm is like the air because it holds and surrounds everything. I think this because wherever you go, air is all around you. In conclusion, there are a lot of similarities between a cell and a house.

Cells that are Like a MouthHave you ever thought about how a single, tiny cell is like a mouth? Sure, they don't seem alike at first, but really, they have many similarities. The cell membrane is like a pair of lips because they control everything that goes in and out of your mouth. When you part your lips and open your mouth, you let food, water and air in, and you can also spit out things that taste bad. The cell wall is the jaw because it gives your mouth its shape and supports it. Without your supportive jaw, your mouth would collapse and become a wobbly bunch of gunk. The chloroplasts are like teeth because they chew up and create energy to be released. Your food gives you energy, and when you grind it with your teeth, nutrients emerge that provide your body with enough strength to keep it bouncing around all day! The vacuoles are like cheeks because they store energy. Of course, you couldn't swallow everything that your teeth chew all at once, so your good old cheeks are there to hold it for you. The mitochondria are like taste buds because they release energy into your mouth. Taste buds release bursts of energy, which is the flavor, into your mouth, so you can stay hyper! The nucleus is like the tongue because it controls everything. Your tongue is the ultimate supremacy. If you were tongue-less, your mouth would have no order at all. The cytoplasm is like saliva because it surrounds everything in your mouth. Saliva is like air: it surrounds your tongue, cheeks, taste buds, and everything else. All in all, a cell is a lot like a mouth!
