Edible Landfills
Learning all about the environment
includes learning about how landfills are constructed to be
environmentally safe. But...did you ever think that you would be
able to eat one? |
The first layer of the landfill is made of clay
and that is the pie tin. The crust is the liner and chocolate
pudding covers that as a layer of soil. |
Licorice sticks represent the leachate venting methane pipes. The
third addition to the landfill is vanilla pudding acting as the sand
and gravel mixed |
with chocolate chips, Skittles, marshmallows, etc.
representing the garbage. Last, but not least, is the chocolate
pudding, that serves as the top soil covering the entire landfill.
YUMMY! |
