Fourth Grade

Laptops and Novel Study

Teachers promote handling laptops with care. Mr. Andrews hands a student a laptop to work on a classroom activity.
Clow fourth graders were the first to use our new laptops. After learning how to set them up and get them started, fourth graders used them to write persuasive letters. Their letters were based on the letters Ike wrote to Mrs. Gertrude LaRue who sent him to obedience school in the book by Mark Teague.
Being left in an awful obedience school gives us lots to write about. Mrs. Street knows how to get us started.
We have to be very persuasive in our writing. Getting started and thinking about what to write go together.

How to ask Mrs. LaRue to bring you home can be a challenge. It's always a good idea to write out your ideas first.

Using a networked laptop on your own desk makes word processing very convenient.
