Visit the Moon
Did you know that the surface of the moon is powder-like? It might even be like flour. Third graders simulate the surface of the moon and observe what happens as craters form.

Flour simulates the powdery surface of the earth. Marbles and foil balls help to simulate how craters are made.

Watching lunar dust fly is fun whether you are on the moon or earth.
