Third Grade

Science: Matter

Third graders learn all about the states of matter. They do experiments and record their observations.

The liquid state of matter can be poured and measured.

Getting direction from a teacher like Mrs. Mulacek is very helpful.

Taking accurate notes is important at all times in science.

Discussing results and observations with your group is a great way to learn.

Check out the vinegar and baking soda experiment below. Students also used vinegar and salt to clean dirty pennies. Both are examples of chemical changes.
