Isopods
Third graders learn all about isopods in science. Do you know what an isopod is? We do!

Third graders begin learning about isopods by observing their behavior. Then they test whether or not isopods can identify colors. This isopod seems to think that black is cool! Did you know that isopods shed their skin as they grow?

Writing down observations helps students to understand isopod behavior. Science experiments are fun!

Isopods like to eat different kinds of vegetable matter. We tried feeding them a variety of things to see what they liked to eat the best. Cut up food worked better than a whole plum!
