Third Grade

Science
The study of bones and muscles is an essential part of the third grade science curriculum. Students learn all about the human skeleton by building one. They learn about how muscles give the skeleton form and support. They even learn about what they look like under a microscope. Pretty neat stuff!

Building a skeleton is like puttling a puzzle together. All finished! The arm bone is connected to the shoulder.

The thigh bone is connected to the hip bone.

Miss Pfaff sets up the slide.

Using the microscope, camera, and a TV, students get to see what a slide from a human bone looks like.

Muscles

This is a great way for students to view slides through a microscope. Muscle cells
