First graders observe a lot in their scientific world. Here are just a few observations.

First graders learn all about the most important internal organs of the body. During the months of September and October, the first graders learn about the organs of the body. They focus on the organs' locations and functions.

When it is the time of year for first graders to learn about volcanoes, they make their own. Look at how they progress from start to finish.

In the spring, first graders lean all about the weather and they even write and illustrate a weather narrative story. First students illustrate what happens in the beginning, then the middle and finally in the end. After their story is all drawn out, students write it with the events occurring according to their story board.
