First graders learn all about the
most important internal organs of the body. During the months of September and October, the
first graders learn about the organs of the body. They focus on the
organs' locations and
functions.

When it
is the time of year for first graders to learn about
volcanoes, they
make their own. Look at how they progress from start to finish.
In the spring, first graders
lean all about the weather
and they even write and illustrate a weather narrative story. First
students illustrate what happens in the beginning, then the middle
and finally in the end. After their story is all drawn out, students
write it with the events occurring according to their story board.
