Keep a written journal or diary describing places you have visited. Illustrate with

Figure out how far you have traveled; at the end of the trip, figure average daily

Keep a list of daily expenses: gasoline, meals, motels, souvenirs. |

Show your child how to use a road map. Have him or her help plan the

| Make a list of license plate numbers and put them in numerical order. Sort them into
odds and evens. Find the number in the ten's place, hundred's place, etc. Round numbers
off to the nearest ten. |
| Talk about states and cities you visit. How are cities, states, and countries different
