Partnerships

Clow School partnerships with local businesses and institutions of higher education represent collaborations in enhancing the learning process for children. These partnerships are intended to be mutually beneficial.

Clow students participate in the Anderson's Book Angel program. Anderson's donates gift certificates for children as reading incentives, they supply author presentations, and Ms. Brooks provides book talks for children and teachers.

Jessica Elizondo provides coupons for children's meals as attendance and reading incentives. Regular attendance and assuring students become strong readers are business, school, and district priorities.

North Central College, Naperville, IL

A common priority of North Central College and Clow School is for all students to appreciate education, no matter how old. Clow displays student work at North Central and North Central provides our community with activity passes, faculty speakers, and judges to assist with teaching and learning.

Mrs. Hood is a computer engineer and on the faculty at Illinois Institute of Technology.   Along with selected IIT graduate students Mrs. Hood teaches Clow staff and students about various technologies. Encouraging girls to employ technology is an emphasis.  IIT and Clow will be working collaboratively in seeking grants to enhance technology in the Clow community.

CFS provides reading incentives to the students at Clow, as well as financial education through guest speakers and field trip opportunities.
