2006 Clow Storytelling Festival

Jim May

Jim May arrived at Clow ready to tell stories for students during the day and for families at an evening performance. Everyone joined right in with Mr. Wiggle and Mr. Waggle and then he told his original Boo Baby Girl story. A Dark, Dark Night is always a favorite.

Jim welcomes students with a story told through the beat of his drum. During an evening presentation, Jim autographed his books to enthusiastic students. The Big Wide Mouthed Frog is always a hit!
Mr. Wiggle and Mr. Waggle gets everyone telling stories. Get those Wiggles and Waggles visiting each other. After all, they were best friends.
Students enjoy the stories of Jim May.
As Mr. May beat his drum to welcome students they were ready to hear  growing-up stories from the Nippersink Creek in Illinois as well as Anasi the Spider, Brer Rabbit, Fishing & Frogs, Cecil the Caterpillar and the famous Talking Banana.

Did you know that a banana can tell a story? First you cut around the end making a mouth. Then you cut off the tip. Make two v cuts where you want the ears to be and bend them up.

Pull back on the top and there you go, a talking banana. Thanks, Jim May.
