2004/2005 Storytellers

Storytellers prepare all year for our Festival.
This year it is being held on May 16 - May 20, 2005

Visitors like Mike Speller give our tellers tips on how to improve.

Facial expression and gesture adds to a story. Participating in a story helps tellers to be more comfortable on stage.

Once the tellers are ready, they tell for a variety of classrooms and practice the skills they have learned. Tellers add gesture and expression to their stories.

Stories take the listener to places they have never been.

Sometimes stories are funny. Sometimes stories make us think.

Most of the time, stories open up our imaginations.

Jim and Karen Decker, known as the Double Deckers, work with the tellers to rehearse for the opening night of our festival.

It's fun to learn to tell a story with many, many kids! The tellers practice singing the Storytelling Song as the opener.

The many kids make pepper stew. What can you add to the stew?
Be careful to not add too much pepper.
