Birthday Book Order Form
The
PTA together with the LMC would like to invite students and
parents to share the celebration of birthdays, half birthdays
(for summer birthdays) or special events with everyone at Clow
by participating in our Birthday Book Program. A student or
their parent may come to the LMC and check out the Birthday Book
Catalog to take home or may view it here from our website. The catalog contains a special listing of
books which have been pre-selected, newly purchased, and
processed for circulation especially for the Birthday Book
Program.

The student and/or parent selects the
book they would like as their LMC Birthday Book. Each Birthday
Book selected involves making a $10.00 donation in the name of
the honoree. After a
book has been selected, it will be indicated in the catalog so everyone knows that that
book has already been chosen.
An alternative to selecting from the
catalog, is to visit Anderson's Bookshop in downtown Naperville and select a book from
their "Best Books for Children Catalog" on file at the store. One hard cover
book from the list may be purchased, read, and brought into the LMC to be processed as the
student's Birthday Book. Anderson's will note the purchase on the list and give the buyer
a 20% discount off of the price of the book/s (no other discounts will apply).
The honored student’s
Birthday Book receives a special bookplate with their name, birth date, and date of
donation. The honored student is the first person to check it out and to share it with
their family. When the book is returned, it goes in the Birthday Book display for everyone
to have the opportunity to check it out and read it. |
