The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain

5th grader Sarah says, " A young adventurous boy named Tom is in for it when he witnesses a murder in the graveyard! Tom swore with his friend Huck that he wouldn't breathe a word...but he does. Now Tom and his friend Becky are lost in a cave. Can they get out? Will the murderer come...and get revenge? This book makes you keep flipping the pages until you are done!"

A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens

5th grader Bryan says, " There is a plan to dig up a man that was imprisoned. He gets back together with his daughter and she falls in love with Charles Donney. He is not English. He is French. This was a long book, but good. At times, it was hard to follow."

Little Women by Louisa May Alcott

5th grader Kelly says, "I think this was a good book because you get to see how blessed we are when the people in the story were so very poor and had to raise money by doing their best deeds. We truly are blessed."

Chapter books are found in the FICTION section of our LMC.
They all have a capital FIC on their spine label above the first three letters of the author's last name.

Once students become pretty good readers, chapter books are for them. This is where your imagination really kicks in and a well written story brings fantasy to life.

Clow Kids rave about these REALLY GOOD chapter books!
