Fifth Graders Meet an Almost Anthropologist!
Kathy Barnes is a
college senior majoring in anthropology. She spent an afternoon sharing her experiences on
a "dig" with our fifth graders. This past summer, archaeology was her specialty
as she worked at the Cahokia Mounds in western Illinois. The fifth graders just finished
researching ancient North and South American civilizations and had plenty of questions to
ask about what she learned.

A BIG THANK YOU goes to Anderson's Bookshop, a Clow business partner,
for sponsoring Chris Raschka's visit.
Chris Raschka showed
students how to draw a picture of his name. Their homework was to
draw a picture of their own name.
