Our Web Site Philosophy

We have several primary communication goals for our web page. Communication about who we are, what we’re doing, and what we value, is central to each goal. Assignment related information is increasingly becoming a web priority, this is especially true for our older children and more substantial projects.

Communicating examples of quality student work is another web page priority. This is intended to provide clarity in communicating standards and quality expectations. Related, showing off and bragging about our boys and girls is a real pleasure! The Student Work in the Spotlight section of our web page has many examples from all grade levels representing different times of the school year. A good example of beginning vs. end of the year can be found with second grade writing.

Communicating how our children do on standardized and various state required tests is a web page priority. This information can be found here along with a link to the District 204 standardized testing information.

Communicating current and upcoming events is probably our most frequently used web page feature. PTA meeting agendas are posted prior to each meeting.

Using our web page as a URL resource is a teaching & learning priority. Therefore, curriculum related URL’s are listed on the Schoolbag section of our web site. This exciting area of our web provides actual lessons taught using the internet and the links that our students use in research. This area of our web is dynamic and changes constantly.

Our third grade enrichment students have the privilege to create our Clow School Virtual Tour. You can see their product at Virtual Tour.

Our LMC web pages are fun, informative, dynamic, and very educational. In summary, there are simply too many informational and exciting things on the Clow web site to mention them all. Our sole purpose in devoting substantial time and effort building a strong and dynamic site is for our children, parents, and community.  Thank you for your time in looking us over.  We are seeking to be the best that we can be so that our children can become the best that they can be, including being technologically competent and world class. Please provide us with candid feedback. Thanks!
